
Our program is individualized and focused on your specific goals! We use evidence based approach that is focused on improving and maintaining your movement and function.
The typical program includes:

A 4-8-week integrated and intensive program.

Individualized frequency of each discipline, depending on your needs. Most people need 2-3x/week of Physical and Occupational therapy and 3x/week for Speech therapy

We create a transition plan to specialized wellness services, personal training, and/or group fitness at the end of the program for lifelong maintenance.

We typically set up a 6 month check up to assist you in maintaining your function and adjust your program as needed.
Physical therapy focuses on:

Aerobic exercise and high intensity intervals: Graded exercise and training for brain health

Movement training to improve size and power of movement with a focus on function and everyday activities

Vestibular rehabilitation and vision training as needed to help with balance and dizziness

Motor control training to restore automatic and fluid movements with increased speed and size

Functional training to return to your life goals

Dual task training: To access automatic movement pathways in the brain.

Strengthening with a focus on improving speed and movement size
Occupational therapy focuses on:

Lifestyle interventions, which include:

Sleep: sleep induction, stimulus control, and sleep compression.

Routine/time management: discussions on how to put systems in place to reduce overwhelm, or how to have a health-promoting daily rhythm.

Eating routine: For adequate hydration, nutrition, and blood glucose regulation.

Physical activity: To build a sustainable, realistic routine that you enjoy.

Coping strategies: To build a personalized list of nervous system regulation strategies.

Mindfulness training: To practice and record personalized audio for guided imagery, body scan, and other mindfulness strategies.

Movement training to improve size and power of movement with a focus on function and everyday activities

Sensorimotor training for activities of daily living including dressing, meal preparation and anything you enjoy doing throughout your day

Fine motor retraining: For activities of daily living (especially handwriting, typing, buttoning), chores, and other functional tasks.
