Drink Up: How to stay hydrated

Last week we focused on the importance of staying hydrated and how it can impact your overall health. This week we are going to share tips and tricks to get your hydration level where it needs to be to live your best life!


Savor the flavor


Does the idea of drinking 8 glasses of water a day seem awful to your tastebuds? Do you want to add some flavor to your water? Try infused water by adding in fruit and juice!

  1. In a pitcher, put in your favorite fruits and herbs. Add ice and fill with water.

  2. Let the water “marinate” for 24 hours or overnight in the fridge.

  3. Enjoy and drink up!


Some flavorful combinations:

  • Strawberries, lemons (thinly sliced), and basil

  • Honeydew, cucumber, and mint

  • Blackberries, orange sections, and fresh ginger (peeled and thinly sliced)

  • Pineapple, coconut chunks, and lime (thinly sliced)

Sneak in the H2O


Another way to bump up your hydration is by eating foods that contain a lot of water.


Veggies are the food with the highest water content:

  1. Cucumber: 96%

  2. Iceberg Lettuce 96%

  3. Celery 95%

  4. Radishes 95%

  5. Romaine Lettuce 95%

  6. Tomatoes 94%

  7. Zucchini and Squash 94%

  8. Asparagus 92%

  9. Bell Peppers 92%

You can get a lot of water during the day eating more of the veggies you already like. Yay!
