Experience
Elissa has several years of experience working with both adults and children in a variety of settings, including outpatient therapy, long term care, early intervention, and sub-acute rehab on a specialized brain injury unit. She really enjoys working with adults with neurological disorders because making progress in one area of their treatment often carries over to other areas. Elissa values collaborating both with a patient's family and with a multidisciplinary team to best understand a patient's needs from a variety of perspectives. Elissa is believes that every patient should be treated with dignity, respect, compassion and support. She encourages her patients to be open and honest and advocate for themselves throughout the therapy process.
When not working, Elissa enjoys practicing yoga, reading, traveling, and spending time outdoors with her husband and two very active children.
